Sound the alarm

Hey fellow bloggers,
I won't keep it too long tonight, as I have homework to finish. But I do want to tell you a little bit about my day starting with a little revelation that I received this morning. I had set my alarm clock at 6am in order to spend time with my father this morning, but as most of us do, I knew I didn't have class until 8 so I decided to sleep for an extra hour and regretted to reset my alarm; however an hour turned into an hour and 45 minutes. I woke up around 7:45 and just so happen I received a text from my ride saying that she woke up late as well. Anyway, as I was thinking about missing my alarm, I thought about how often we put off witnessing, praying, or just talking to someone about God and then something happens where they never get the chance to encounter God. So unlike me waking up late, we don't want to be late or negligent to the jobs we have to do for Christ. I encourage you, that even if you are in line at the store and God is telling you to encourage the person in front of you, do it. For when the alarm sounds, will you wake up and heed to its sound or will you turn over and press the snooze.

A little more about my day, I went to anatomy which has definitely become one of my favorite science classes taken. Then used about twenty pages for notes in Physics, then I had beginnig acting in which we presented our monologues. I went to work from 1-5, came home and after a qick nap, I woke up to start setting up for Centrl Plaza's program - Bingo Nite. I left about 7:30 and headed to my Decree School of Ministry Class at church. I heard some awesome messages and I gave mine as well. They had to be three minutes. God is really using his people and it is just a sight to see His children stepping out in their calling. I'm just excited. Oh and I also got a text today from one of my good friends saying that he wanted to come to church with me on Sunday and I asked my roommate as well and he said he wanted to come...Praise God :)

Holy Spirit had his way

Today, well I'm guessing now yesterday, was an awesome day. Got dressed for church in my blue and black colors (these are the colors that the host team were supposed to wear.) Got to church in time for corporate prayer at 10:30. Church started at 11:00 and the praise team sang two of my favorite worship songs. They were "Bread of Life" and "Jesus, the Mention of your Name." Then after announcements and welcome, it was time for offering. I was one of the host who had to go up holding the office basket, and let me tell you, they wanted us to do our best to smile the whole time we were up there while Pastor Torrey Montgomery was giving the call to offering, but it's hard forcing a smile when you have to. After offering, we had a special gifting from a group from Lawton, that called themselves Annointed Praise. They danced to the song Psalm 27. After they ministered, pastor got up and spoke on Fear. He gave such points like God is on our side and he will never leave us. The spirit just really began to move as he preached and sisters and brothers were getting filled up with the Holy Spirit (and how many of you know that it is an awesome thing when brothers are kneeling, and crying, and  shouting before the Lord.) During the invitation to join the church, God brought in our drummer that we were looking for. He was evidently supposed to only be a temporary replacement for our bother Dre, who moved to New Mexico, but anyway he decided  to join today and let me tell you, he is already definitely tapping into the Kingdom sound. We desired a drummer and God will definitely bring you the desires of your heart.

After church, I came homeand finished writing a poem that God had given me and then worked on some Physics homework. Then I went to the RA informational and served on a panel to answer questions to all aspiring Resident Assistants. Then me and my roommmate went and got some Steak n Shake.

I called my mom and brother Tim and read them my poem and Tim said that I should create a blog and post it on here. So that's where my inspiration to start a blog came from. Thanks Tim. I won't post the poem just yet, for I will first be presenting it at church this Sunday. If you are looking to visit a church.
